At approximately 12:06 p.m., a responding Burleson County deputy spotted a vehicle matching the description and turned around to investigate. Several additional law enforcement units arrived moments later.
Officers issued commands to the driver but received no response. When they approached the vehicle, they found the driver suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, authorities said.
The driver was transported to a Burleson County emergency room and pronounced dead.
Emergency medical personnel responding to the original scene found the woman suffering from two gunshot wounds. Paramedics performed CPR and other lifesaving measures before transporting her to the emergency room, where she later died.
Authorities did not immediately release the names of either person or provide additional information about their relationship. The investigation remains ongoing.
