This week, Texas Game Warden cadets participated in a unique hands-on training session, working directly with one of the state’s most iconic reptiles—the American Alligator. The training focused on how to safely handle and protect these remarkable animals, an important part of a Game Warden’s role in conserving Texas wildlife.
The alligators used for training were brought to the academy by experienced Texas Game Wardens, providing cadets with real-world experience under expert supervision. Once the lessons concluded, the alligators were safely returned to their natural habitats.
