Bastrop High School is set to undergo a major expansion starting this summer, with more than $43.5 million in new construction planned to enhance academic and athletic facilities.
Located at 1614 Chambers Street, the project will add a 63,460-square-foot, two-story classroom wing and a new competition gymnasium to the existing high school campus. Construction is scheduled to begin on June 2, 2025, and is expected to be completed by July 31, 2026.
The public school project is being funded through public sources and represents one of the largest recent investments in Bastrop ISD infrastructure. The upgrades aim to accommodate growing enrollment and provide students with state-of-the-art spaces for learning and athletics.
