Texas Guard Enhances Border Patrol Operations Along the Rio Grande

Members of the Texas Guard’s Riverine Platoon and Brush Operations team have been actively working in Eagle Pass, Texas, to enhance patrol visibility along the Rio Grande as part of Operation Lone Star. Their efforts include clearing debris and conducting regular maintenance of existing fortifications to strengthen border security measures.

Operation Lone Star, a statewide initiative, aims to detect, deter, and interdict illegal immigration and combat transnational crime along the Texas-Mexico border. The ongoing work by the Riverine Platoon and Brush Ops team supports these objectives by improving shoreline monitoring and patrol efficiency in one of the operation’s critical areas.

The Texas Guard continues its commitment to safeguarding the border with enhanced infrastructure and proactive measures as part of this mission.
