Battleship Texas Tours to Feature Restored Foretop Starting January 2025

Visitors to the Battleship Texas Restoration Tours will have the rare opportunity to view one of the ship’s most iconic features—the foretop—beginning January 2025. While the structure remains on shore during restoration, the new tour stop will allow guests to learn about its history, the repairs being made, and its importance to the storied battleship.

This addition to the tour is temporary, offering history enthusiasts and visitors a limited-time chance to see the intricate restoration work up close. The foretop, a significant part of the ship’s superstructure, has undergone extensive repairs as part of the ongoing preservation of the Battleship Texas.

To participate, visitors can register online at battleshiptexas.org. Group rates are also available at battleshiptexas.org.

The Battleship Texas Foundation continues to lead efforts to preserve and share the history of this historic vessel. The foundation encourages those interested in naval history to take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn about the ship’s restoration and its enduring legacy.
