La Grange M-K-T Depot Museum Hosts Historical Celebration with Tours and Treats

The La Grange M-K-T Depot Museum is inviting the community to a special celebration on Tuesday, October 22, at 10 a.m. The event will honor the history of this historic passenger and freight depot, which was completed on November 18, 1897, by the MKT Railroad.

Attendees can enjoy a ceremony followed by kolaches, coffee, and tours of the depot. The museum will be open all day for visitors to explore its exhibits and learn about life on the “KATY” and in early La Grange. The depot’s history is preserved through its collections and historical artifacts, showcasing the evolution of the community and its connection to the railroad.
