A routine traffic stop in Brewster County led to a significant drug bust on Tuesday morning. According to the Brewster County Sheriff’s office Facebook page, a deputy conducted a traffic stop along FM 170 near Lajitas.
During the stop, the deputy developed probable cause to search the vehicle. The search uncovered several false compartments containing approximately 160 small bundles of marijuana, weighing nearly 400 pounds.
The case is currently under investigation.
