UnionBrands Eateries Texas, LLC, now part of The Behringer Group Family of Companies, has officially completed its separation from Turner Behringer Holdings. The company, renowned for its leadership in providing diverse dining options, is prepared to flourish further as a privately held entity.
Creating environments in eateries that unify food, family, friends, and fun into one seamless space has been a hallmark of UnionBrands’ success. Their establishments are not just dining venues but destinations where all these elements interact.
Union Hall Waco, the original location at 720 Franklin Ave., continues to symbolize the brand’s legacy, while Union Grove Woodway, at 8100 Woodway Drive on Waco’s western border, is being primed to become the next flagship establishment.
Todd Behringer, Chairman and CEO of The Behringer Group, LLC, recalled the genesis of Union Hall, a visionary concept born “literally as they say, with a blank canvas.” In November 2019, Turner Behringer transformed a dusty warehouse and a boarded-up sports bar into an 18,000-square-foot space comprising 25 European-style eateries.
Navigating through the COVID-19 pandemic was not without challenges, as Behringer noted. Still, Union Hall persevered and expanded, establishing a loyal customer base by emphasizing traffic generation and the synergy among food vendors.
Addressing concerns about downtown parking, Behringer acknowledged some valid views but also pointed out the availability of ample free parking spaces, including at 4th street garage, 6th street lot, and the upcoming 300+ space garage near the AC Hotel Waco. This comes just as downtown Waco’s revamped landscape is taking shape.
Proudly associating UnionBrands with the term “destination,” Behringer emphasized the company’s offering of flexibility, variety, and a casual ambiance. Union Hall has consistently maintained a 90% vendor occupancy across its 26 stations, creating a strong foundation for continued growth.
Navigating the unique challenges of operating in a niche industry, UnionBrands has created a competitive edge. With four years of performance experience, the company is poised to expand beyond Waco, Texas. Though Temple was initially considered for the third location, logistics fell through, shifting focus to College Station, where the first new market location is slated to open in late 2024.
This exciting trajectory illustrates UnionBrands’ commitment to innovation, community, and exceptional culinary experiences. The future looks appetizing indeed.
